Obituary of Lynn Rutenberg

In Loving Memory of Lynn Eileen Rutenberg

Lynn Eileen Rutenberg, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at the age of 80. Lynn was born in Chicago in 1942 and brought joy and warmth to her family from the very beginning. As a young girl, her family relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, where Lynn's journey of love and resilience would unfold.

Lynn's adventurous spirit led her to California for a brief period before she settled in Rochester, New York. It was there that she began her career at Eastman Kodak Company, where fate would bring her into the path of her true love, her husband Chuck Rutenberg. Their journey together took them to various cities, including Nashville, Tennessee, and Hillsboro, New Jersey, before they found their forever home in Fort Collins, Colorado, in January 2000. It was in Fort Collins that Lynn and Chuck built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Lynn possessed a vibrant and creative soul. She had a passion for quilting and her skillful hands brought life to beautiful and intricate creations. Through her love for quilting, she formed lasting friendships and connected with kindred spirits who shared her love for the craft. Lynn also enjoyed the spirited sport of bowling, which provided her with countless moments of joy and camaraderie.

Among Lynn's many passions, her love for animals held a special place in her heart. Her beloved dogs, Riley, Yoda, Divit, and numerous furry companions throughout the years, brought her immeasurable happiness and unconditional love.

Lynn's legacy of love and strength lives on through her cherished family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chuck Rutenberg, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Lynn's memory will forever be treasured by her four children, Nikki Scaplen, Gregor Gadbaw, Lisa Reichart, and Erica Lees, as well as her seven grandchildren. Her love and guidance will continue to be felt by all those whose lives she touched.

Lynn Eileen Rutenberg will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her radiant smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories and the love she shared with those closest to her.
