Obituary of Jeanette Jatczynski

Jeanette Josephine Jatczynski (Zelenka), a resident of Wellington, Colorado, passed away on April 7, 2023, with family at her side at the age of 91.  She was born on October 15, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of immigrant parents from Czechoslovakia

She married Sam Jatczynski on August 27, 1949.  They were life-long sweethearts, married for over 72 years when Sam passed away in 2022.

After her years as a homemaker and mother, she became a preschool teacher who influenced the lives of “her kids” for over 27 years.

Jeanette and Sam moved from Southern California to Colorado in 2006.

Jeanette loved her family, going for rides in the countryside, playing games, sewing, planting a kitchen garden, and listening to Sam playing the harmonica, sometimes singing along.

Everyone who met her thought of her as a sweetheart.

Jeanette is survived by her sons Jim (and wife, Pat) and Mike, brother William, sister-in-law Suzie, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be interred alongside her husband, Sam, at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins, Colorado.
