Obituary of Steven Henry Downing

Steven "Steve" Downing, 39 years old, was born to Yale and Hali on November 1, 1983 in Ft. Collins Colorado. Steve loved his Family, his two Children were his twinkle in his eye. His fiance' Rachel held a very special place in his life and his heart. He loved fishing and the great outdoors. 

Steve is survived by his two children: Matthew and Dakota Downing, Mother: Hali, Fiance: Rachel, Brother: Anthony, Sister: Jessica, Grandparents: Dwight Johnson and many family and friends. 

Preceded by Brother: Matthew Edward, Aunt: Cindy Nace, Uncle: Brian Hanson, Cousin: Jackie Nace, Father: Yale, Grandfather; Gale Dowing, Grandmothers: Iona Downing  and Carolyn Johnson. 

Tribute from Matthew to his Dad: 

"Spending time at one of your favorite lakes thinking about all of the time we spent here with you teaching me everything I know. Remembering the bets we used to make on who can catch the first, the biggest, and the most fish. Remembering exchanging tips and tricks we learned on the internet and getting excited to try them out next time we went fishing. But most of I remember how much of an amzing dad you were to Koda and I, you were so supportive and so so caring and so down to earth. You had so many amazing qualities everybody just loved you. 

Getting bored and impatient here at this lake the fishing is slow but I wish you were here to tell me to be patient once again but I'm gonna try my best for you and that goes with everything. I'm very sad to have lost you but I do have a new spark spark of motivation to keep going and to stay strong so I can continue to make you proud. 

Gonna miss you dad and I love ya."

" My dad was the strongest and most kind hearted person I know. He wanted to help everybody and he always made sure his loved ones were comfortable and happy. He fought for everything he wanted and worked for everything. He's my Bestfriend,  he helped me through everything, he was always there for me. He protected me. He made me who I am. He always made sure Matthew and I had a good time when we went over to his house everyweekend. He would take us on hikes, fishing, camping. Anything outdoors. He built me a lemonade stand and as I sat outside in the heat selling lemonade. He checked on me a -lot and made sure I had water and food. Was always refilling the lemonade for me so I didn't miss a customer. I love you dad. I miss you so much. I will fight for you, I will reach my goals for you, everything I do will be for you. There's not a single day that I won't be missing you. You are my everything. I love you more than the multiverse times infinity."
