Obituary of Katheryn Vazquies

Obituary Katheryn Lucille Vazquies, 59, of Ault, CO, passed away peacefully in her own home on January 27, 2023. Katheryn was born on October 29, 1963 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to Earl Rising and Kay Macaroy. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1982. Katheryn loved activities such as water pollo, horseback riding, and reading. Katheryn later met Larry Vazquies, her future husband, after she fixed his vehicle for him. Katheryn completed some college in the computer sciences field in 1989. Katheryn and Larry were wed on August 25, 1990 in Easton, PA at a Presbyterian Church surrounded by friends and family. She and Larry welcomed their first daughter into the world soon after. Katheryn and family moved to Northglenn, CO shortly after in 1991. Two years later, their second daughter was born. Katheryn went on to be a Benefit advisor and schedular for Centura Health, where she remained for the rest of her working days. In 2017, Katheryn and family moved to Ault, CO where she became a loved and devoted member of the Galeton Community Church. Katheryn is survived by her two daughters Kathleen Vazquies of Ault, CO and Alicia Hutchinson of Gulliver, MI. She was proceeded in death by her mother Kay. Viewing and funeral services are scheduled for February 11th, 2023 at the Galeton Community Church located at 24787 2nd St, Galeton, CO 80622. The viewing will be held between 8:30 and 9:45 am, followed by the funeral service at 10 am. A potluck lunch will be held after the funeral.
