Obituary of Phyllis Worster

Obituary It is with grieving hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Phyllis Louise Worster. She was born in Farmington, New Mexico on September 18, 1932 to Lea May and LeRoy Raines. She married Charles Bartholomew in Walden, Co and they had seven children, Janet Vigil (Mic Hardin), Clifford Bartholomew (Janean), Charles Bartholomew (Donna), Shonilea Pischer (Randy), Leanna Bartholomew, Tereasa Salazar (Raul) and Ben Bartholomew. She later married William Worster whom she spent the next 10 years with. Phyllis was a very strong women who was very dedicated to raising her children. She had her struggles, but she never gave up. She worked many types of jobs, from being a kitchen manager at Mountain Home, a cook at CSU and including working 17 years at Poudre Valley hospital as a housekeeper. Phyllis was always busy working on some kind of craft, including making afghans for all her grandkids and most of her great grandkids. She spent her free time crocheting, sewing, baking, and meeting the newest great grandbaby. She loved to go and ride Clydesdales with her good friend, Charlotte. She was an excellent seamstress, making her oldest daughter’s wedding dress and helping to make her oldest granddaughter’s bridesmaids dresses. She was always making clothes for her kids and grandkids. She was always up for an adventure! Including going tent camping in Sturgis during the motorcycle rally with her youngest son, Ben. She came back with some wild and amazing stories. Her most recent adventure took her to Tennessee, where she was able to check off a bucket list item, going to Dollywood!! Phyllis even booked her own flight and went on a solo trip to North Carolina to visit a long-lost cousin. She has even been seen on the back of a Harley and occasionally on the back of a four- wheeler a time or two. Phyllis was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 43, soon to be 44 great-grandchildren. Needless to say, we have quite a few memorable moments we have all shared with our, Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. Phyllis is proceeded in death by her brothers, Thomas, and Robert Raines, as well as her youngest son, Benjamin Bartholomew and her great grandson, Zander David Howland. Her greatest legacy is the legacy of her unconditional love. Love is a short word, but it contains all: it means the body, the soul, the life, the entire being. We feel it as we feel the warmth of the blood, we breath it as we breath the air, we carry it in ourselves as we carry our thoughts. Nothing more exists for us.
