Obituary of Dennis W. Acott

Obituary Mr. Dennis W. Acott, 76 of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born September 6, 1945 in Julesburg, Colorado, eventually moving to Fort Collins. A true Colorado native. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Velda Acott, his father, Donald Acott, and brother, Richard Acott. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy Acott; brother, Greg Acott; son, Brent Acott (Jessie); and three daughters, Wendy Acott-Sawyer (Scott), Kelsey Friedman (Josh), and Tamara Schmidt (Geoff). He was Pop to six amazing grandchildren – Bailey Zimmerman, Colby Acott, Malorie Acott, Isabelle Friedman, Heidi Acott and Noah Friedman. Throughout his life, family came first. He built a legacy and a home that has lasted generations at the south end of Horsetooth Reservoir, in Fort Collins. Dennis enjoyed camping and boating with his family, taking car rides in the mountains with Judy, target shooting, four wheeling to check his property lines, and absolutely anything to do with his grandkids.
