Obituary of Karen Morris
Obituary
Karen was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1949 and moved to Greeley CO in
1951. Graduating from Greeley Central High School in 1967. She
completed 2 years of further education at the University of
Northern Colorado. She has been a resident of Fort Collins since
1976.
Before her cancer diagnosis interrupted life and brought her
professional career to an end in 2011 she was employed in various
office administration and Human Resource positions.
She was a Stage 4 cancer survivor for 10 years before she lost
her battle from the disease. She completed her adventure on 02/02/2022.
She was grateful to Dr. Martin McCarter (Anchutz/UC Health) and
Dr. Matthew Sorenson (UC Health/Fort Collins) who faithfully
served to extend her life.
She will be remembered for her creative flair. Articulate,
energetic character, committed and tireless work ethic. She was so
clear about who she was and designed many homes which fascinated
many. She had many talents and life skills.
The loyalty of her friends sustained her during her life and she
often said how blessed she was to have so many great friendships
and great memories. To her many friends she was fiercely loyal and
dedicated. She did have a chance to know each of them. How much
more blessed can she be? Your silent kindness is gratefully
acknowledged and whatever gratitude I express is wholly
inadequate.
She is survived by her son Blake, grandson Brayden and her great abundance of constant friends she held dear and you all know who you are.
Cremation has been completed with her body being donated to
science. In keeping with her wishes there will be no formal services.
