Obituary of Marilyn Marcy Laman

Obituary Marilyn Marcy Laman, age 95, Fort Collins, Colorado passed away September 10th, 2022. Born in Ashland, Nebraska February 15, 1927 to Kenneth and Florence Harford Marcy. She married Roy Laman on September 1, 1946. Together they raised 5 boys that certainly qualified her for Mother of the Century in our eyes. She was a bookkeeper in high school and became a tax accountant as her boys grew. The family was active in the Episcopal Church. She played in the bell choir and was also treasurer. As a family they enjoyed many adventures camping, fishing, and traveling in the RV. Marilyn had a fondness for music and playing the piano. Her interest in music and entertainment was eclectic and lifelong. She was on bowling leagues wherever she lived. She was a treasurer for her HOA up until a few years ago. Her greatest and most profound attribute were the relationships she nurtured and engendered with family and friends. She blossomed in others company. Marilyn and Roy lived in Aurora and Arvada Colorado until their move to Fort Collins to be closer to grandkids and family the past 24 years. She was preceded in death by her Husband Roy of 67 years, her Son Marc, Granddaughter Kerri, Grandson James, Daughter in Law LeeAnne and her 4 siblings Clara, Helen, Janice and Harry. She is survived by her Sons Kenneth (Becky), Kevin (Betty), Karl (Karen) and Paul. Grandchildren Jason, Michael, Scott, Seth, Ross, Kimberly, Melissa, Amanda, 8 Great Grandchildren and many beloved Nieces and Nephews. Many of her Children's friends became lifelong members of the family too! She was much beloved. There will be a Memorial and Celebration of Life October 2nd at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St. Fort Collins, CO 80524. It will start at 2 pm and conclude at 4 pm. She will be laid to rest next to Roy in Fort Logan National Cemetery Columbarium.
