Obituary of Robert Neuman

Obituary Robert (Bob) Neuman Robert A. Neuman, 91, died peacefully in his sleep at PVH on October 3, 2022 after courageously battling stomach cancer. Bob was born March 8, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Stuart and Grace Neuman. He enlisted in the US Army in 1949 and was sent to Berlin, Germany. It is there he met the love of his life, Rosemary Plettig. They were married in 1952 and spent the next 67 years in wedded bliss until Rosemary’s passing in 2019. While in the Army Bob was posted all over the world, including a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Bob retired from the Army after 20 years of service in 1970, and then began a second career as an entrepreneur building and selling several businesses including a liquor store in Illinois, a pet motel on Texas, and a Mexican restaurant in Arizona. After his second retirement, he and his wife settled in Deming, New Mexico and began traveling the country with their RV. Many adventures and good times followed until Rosemary was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018. After an extensive fight, she passed away in November, 2019. Several months later Bob was diagnosed with stomach cancer and moved to Ft. Collins for treatment and to be near his son, Peter Neuman. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Neuman and his wife, Rosemary Neuman. Survivors include his sister, Pat Danko, his sons Peter (Karen) Neuman and Stephen (Carmen) Neuman, his grandchildren, Lisa Pawlowski, Adam Neuman and Kari Zimmerman, and great-grandchildren Claire, Jack, Luke, Emma, Hudson and Brooks. Robert was a caring and generous man. He will be missed. Bob requested that he be cremated and ashes spread where his wife’s were, at Vedauwoo, Wyoming, a spiritual place where they camped many times with their RV.
