Obituary of Helen "Patsy" Patricia Bolton

Obituary Helen Patricia Bolton “Patsy” passed away peacefully on November 20, 2022. Patsy was born on June 24, 1953 to Harry and Margaret Hermanson in Denver, Colorado. Patsy was the youngest of seven children that included Billy, Margie, Kathy, Tommy (deceased) and living brothers, Jimmy, Johnny. Patsy loved being around her Brothers and Sisters. As the youngest in the family, Patsy would often be involved with all the parties that her siblings would have in their basement. From Halloween parties to Christmas parties their house was the place to be. Patsy met Gary at Pizza Hut in Denver in 1970, after Gary returned from Vietnam. Patsy was a waitress and Gary was the manager. The couple united in marriage on September 29, 1973. The couple welcomed Gary junior, Jennifer and Tyler to the family. Patsy loved to travel, and she had the benefit of traveling with her husband to many places for both business and pleasure. Patsy loved Disney and her favorite place to go was Disney World. Patsy worked as a young mother for Duffle and TransAmerica until she decided a full-time homemaker was more her calling. Patsy was heavily involved with all her kids’ extracurricular activities. She attended many football and baseball games supporting and cheering on her oldest son. Patsy danced with her daughter in ballet and tap and traveled with her competitive dance team. She supported all her daughter’s sports activities and cheerleading events. Patsy spent endless amounts of hours chasing her youngest son to all his football, baseball, and soccer games and practices. Although Patsy was busy raising her 3 children she also stayed involved as the PTO president and Fundraising Chair for the Corn Stalk Carnival, as well as a member on the steering committee for the Tiger World Playground for Tavelli Elementary School. In her spare time, she was on a bowling league and golf team, and she loved to do crafts. She especially loved holiday crafts. She made each one of her grandchildren special beaded Christmas stockings and lots of fun Christmas treasures. Patsy’s favorite time was holiday time with her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she took pride in wrapping presents so beautifully and lining out all the details of the day so everyone could enjoy the magic of Christmas. She loved to be around family, and you could find her traveling to see family in and out of Colorado as well as planning family reunions. Everyone loved Patsy and had a story about Patsy they can remember if not many stories. Patsy is survived by her husband, Gary; children Gary (wife Shelly), Jennifer(husband JC), Tyler (wife Ricki); grandchildren Cordell, Joanie, Sydni, Brody, Brendan, Grace and Finn. Patsy battled with Alzheimer’s for several years and was ready to fly free from the pain and suffering endured by the disease. She will soar in the heaven’s and look over her family she loved so much. She will be greatly missed but her love and memories will be in the hearts of so many people she knew and loved.
