Obituary of Jerry Moore

Obituary Jerry Sperling Moore, of Estes Park and Fort Collins, peacefully left us on November 28, 2022, at Pathways Hospice, one week prior to his 90th birthday. Jerry was born on December 6, 1932, in Denver to Anita and W. Carl Moore, and grew up in Northern Colorado with his brother, Ramon, and sister, Anne. In 1958, Jerry married Rosalie Kurtz in Greeley, CO, and together they raised two children, Jeffrey and Karleen. Jerry was a veteran and had a successful career as a commercial real estate appraiser in Fort Collins. Upon retirement, he spent much of his time in Estes Park, and worked as a volunteer in Rocky Mountain National Park. In 2020, he received an award for 5,000 volunteer hours of service. His love of the mountains stemmed from childhood family trips to the Big Thompson Canyon and Estes Park. He was very active and enjoyed camping and fishing, hiking, skiing, biking, golf and walking his many beloved dogs. Jerry enjoyed technology and staying up-to-date on his computer, tablet, and cellphone which provided him additional ways to connect with his children and grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosalie, his son Jeffrey (Michelle) Moore of Fort Collins, and daughter Karleen Moore of Highlands Ranch. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Jayce Moore of Austin, TX, Kelsea McArthur of Tempe, AZ, his grandson, Justin Coking, of Yuma, AZ, and his two great-granddaughters, Adalie and Katya Coking. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Zackery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pathways Hospice, 305 Carpenter Rd., Fort Collins, CO 80525. Arrangements are pending. Services
