Obituary of Linda Lou Larsen

Linda Lou Larsen, 81, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away on January 24, 2024, at Pathways Hospice Care Center of Fort Collins after a long battle with dementia. She was a woman of deep faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, she was courageous, creative, had a strong wit, and a heart to help those in need with encouragement, and spiritual truth. Linda will be deeply missed by many.

A Memorial service will be held at Faith Church, Fort Collins, on February 12th at 11:00am. The family will be present to greet guests immediately following the memorial service. A private burial will take place on a later date at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins. Vessey Funeral Service will be handling the arrangements.

Linda was born in Council Bluffs, IA to Ervin and Verna Zentz on September 8, 1942. She went to high school at Fort Collins High School and graduated in 1959. She went on to attend and earn a degree in Interpersonal and Group Communications from Trinity College. Linda married Trygve Larsen on December 16, 1961 and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. She loved raising her four children and worked at Back to The Bible, Logos Bookstore, Wheaton Evangelical Free Church and in the counseling department at Wheaton College. She enjoyed serving others in AWANA, leading Women’s Bible studies, leading 12 years of AIDS ministry, mission trip to Dubai, and led a Women of Hope cancer support group after courageously fighting her own battle with breast cancer. She was a constant encourager of so many.

Linda is survived by her husband, Trygve Larsen, of Fort Collins, CO. She is also survived by her four children, Torrey (Carol) of San Diego, CA, Tracy (Mike), of Des Moines, IA, Tyler (Deb) of San Diego, CA, and Tim, of Naples, FL, siblings, sister, Judy (Bill), of Fort Collins, brother, Jim (Jan), of Fort Collins, CO, sister, Rosie (Mike) of Fort Collins, CO, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Emory and Eva Zentz, father, Ervin Zentz, mother, Verna (Zentz) Campain, Stepfather, Hollis Campain, and brother, Larry Zentz.
