Obituary of Kimberly Ann Kovalsky

Kimberly Ann Kovalsky

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly (Kim, Kimmy, Aunty Keke) Ann Kovalsky, 44, of Fort Collins, Colorado. She passed away on December 23 rd , 2023, at PVH, surrounded by her family and an immense amount of love. Kim was born November 28th, 1979, in Bridgeport, CT to her loving parents Marilyn and Matthew Kovalsky, who are truly going to miss her more than words can say.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT she was an original member of the “Yacht Street Crew “and a high school graduate from Central Highschool. After graduating she enlisted in the United States Army, which was a big part of her life and where she met many of her lifelong friends. After parting with the Army, she was blessed with her beautiful baby girl Madison. She stayed for a short while in Bridgeport and then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be closer with her siblings. A couple years later she was blessed again with the birth of her son Carlito. Kim was a loving mother and doted on her kids like no other. She was not the “stereotypical” mother but her love for her two children knew no bounds.
She is survived by her two beautiful children; Madison Johnson and Carlito Johnson, her mother and father; Marilyn and Matthew Kovalsky, Brother; Matthew Kovalsky, Sister; Shannon Tompkins. “baby sister”; Lisa Kovalsky, and each of their spouses; 4 nieces; Asyra, Myah, Layla and Rainney 3 nephews; Justin, Nigel and Dismas, her cherished dog Bane and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Predeceased by Maternal/Paternal grandparents, her life partner “Eddie” Lebron, several aunts, uncles and friends. We know that each and every one of them were there to greet her with loving open arms.
Kimmy loved to garden and worked hard going back to school to study Herbal and Plant Medicine (following in the footsteps of our grandfather’s passion). She worked hard for the things she had and was proud of the home she was able to purchase, as were we. She loved going to the Casino for fun and talking/ visiting with her mom and dad often. She was also a proud Dog Mom to Bane, even though she jokingly didn’t want to always admit it. The two were almost inseparable and he will truly miss her.
Kim was Fierce to say the least. She was known for her fiery red hair and freckles and matching fiery fighting spirit. Her heart was full of compassion and always in the right place. She never turned anyone in need away and was not quick to judge others. The most important thing to Kim were her children Madison and Carlito and she truly loved them more than anything else in this world and family. She had very different relationships with each and every one of her family members, all which were special in their own way. She loved her family, and we will ALWAYS be missing a piece of us without her here. It was amazing to see someone with such a resilient tough outer exterior and at the same time hold such a beautiful, soft. Kind-hearted soul within. She will always be one of a kind, a rare gem, that will be dearly missed and never ever forgotten.
We love you Kim- Remember to keep an eye on us from above.
